Hello Photographers, Tom here with another Nikon DSLR Camera Review.
Today we’re going to have a look at the Nikon D610 DSLR Camera Body.

The D610 is the entry level full-frame DSLR from Nikon. The D610 has been out for quite a while now. It succeeded the d600 which was Nikons first entry level full frame.

The D610 now is the successor to the D600. So folks it is now affordable for everybody to get a full frame digital SLR. They are a lot cheaper than its big brother the D810 and still cheaper even so than the D750 it’s bigger brother in between the two.

So why would you want a Nikon D610?
Well price point for one, image quality for two. The sensor in this 24 megapixel full-frame sensor is amazing. It will give you a dynamic range and resolution far beyond the competition.

If you’re a landscape photographer, if you’re a wedding photographer, if you’re an event photographer, this is a brilliant camera, portraits as well. It’ll cover just about everything.

The D610 has a few very nice features, obviously the standard dual card slots here for two memory cards. Raw to one, Jpeg to the other is one of the configurations that can be set up.

You have a 39 point auto-focus system which is very very nice particularly if the tracking moving subjects.

You have full HD video of course which you can use with these cameras and again at full frame, amazing quality.

You have all the manual functions available on the camera as well as some auto and scene modes for those who want to just use it as a point and shoot camera, which can be used you, you are just gonna get extraordinary quality images which is a nice change over you compact cameras.

Some very nice little extra features that I do like are the User 1 and User 2 modes which are carried on from the D7200 shooting dial.

This allows you to basically set the camera up the way you want it for a specific type of photography and then save it into one of these which is very handy.

The camera of course also is very well made as you’d expect from Nikon with a full metal chassis with a poly-carbonate body.

The D610 body will take old and new Nikkor lenses. That means it can take the D series lenses and obviously the new Af-s lenses and so basically it’ll take your old lenses if you do have then. Right back to manual focus lenses if you want. The Nikon system is renowned for that. So folks look fantastic quality, great auto-focus system, very very well made little camera and of course the image quality is what it’s all about with the D610.

So if you want professional images from a professional still camera but you don’t want to spend the big bucks …
