Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L II USM Lens Review

Above is our Youtube Video Review of the Canon 24-70mm f2.8L II USM Lens. Below is our rough transcript of the review.
Hello Photographers, Tom here from Cameras Direct with another Canon L Series Lens Review.

Today we are going to have a look at the amazing Canon 24-70mm f2.8L II USM Lens.

Folks if you are a professional photographer or a very serious amateur photographer and you want the best wide angle too small telephoto zoom on the market look no further than the Canon 24 to 70 F 2.8 L Series lens.

This is an amazing lens it is sharp from the 24mm focal length through the 70mm range. Sharp at f2.8 all the way through the aperture range to around about f11 f16 where diffraction kicks in.

This is a weather sealed professional build quality lens. It has the seals to keep out moisture and dust.

The focus from the legendary USM ultrasonic motor in the L series lenses, which means the focus is super fast and absolutely silent. This lens obviously is a F 2.8 constant so when you do zoom from 24 to 70 it stays at f2.8 if you have f2.8 selected obviously.

So it’s a constant aperture wide-angle to telephoto zoom.

The build quality as I say is L Series professional, amazing.

This is a workhorse. You could use it every day, thousands of photos and it will not let you down.

This new version or newer version than the old one has 82mm filter size, so it is a very large filter size but that does also match the 16 to 35mm L series. So if you are a landscape photography you won’t have to buy new polarizing filters, they are all 82mm.

So folks why would you use this Canon 24-70mm lens?
Wedding photographers, landscape photographers, event photographers, this is an amazingly versatile lens. Very
very sharp in fact probably one of the sharpest zoom that Canon makes.
If you want quality where price isn’t so much an issue then the we recommend to you …
